Being of a Christian background I was taught growing up to hate the sin and not the sinner. It is a fundamental tenet of Christianity that we should accept the sinner and try to encourage a change in the behavior. It seems that in the flipped around upside down ideology of the far left that this concept has been slightly altered to fit the immoral lifestyles of its adherents.
To clarify somewhat, when I learn that someone has had an abortion my first instinct is not to denounce the person but the abortion. I do not hate the person because they made that choice despite the fact that I find the act morally reprehensible. My concern lies with the life of the unborn child and for the soul of the mother. To be true to my beliefs I must accept the sinner and renounce the sin.
The same applies to homosexuality. I accept the person for who they are but I am morally obligated to speak out against the lifestyle.

This is America, and we aren't supposed to hate anyone because they are a minority, are we? Actually, we have been getting better lately with regard to many minorities - but not all. Electing Barack Obama President of our United States is evidence that being black has become a respectable distinction for a significant majority of Americans. 8% of the Members of Congress are Black compared with 13% of the population - getting closer. Having one woman as a vice-presidential candidate and another as a serious presidential contender affirms that being a woman is also considered acceptable, even though only 16% of Congress is female.
Being Hispanic is fairly well accepted with 5% of Congress representing 15% of the population. Being Jewish has actually become distinguished, as 7% of Congress represents the 1% of the population who are Jewish. A Gallup Poll reports that only 4% of Americans have a negative view of Jews compared with 23% who have a negative view of Evangelical Christians.

I've often wondered how it is that one actually arrives at this conclusion. The best answer is they watch too much BoobTube. I mean what else can a BoobTube create other than Boobs? Not the pretty kind that are big squeezable, soft to the touch and pleasant to behold. But rather the kind that one really doesn't care to touch or behold or even be around! First of all I have to look at the evidence. After all even our very way of determining time itself revolves around the birth and death of Christ re: BC/AD (something the atheist recently tried to change by the way). Not to mention the evidence from secular sources. Like Tiberias's correspondance with Pilate, where he warned about harming the 'christians' due to the "deity (deemed him a God) of Christ." Yes just as the Bible states over 500 seen Jeshua(Jesus) after he was crucified. I mean if a few fanatics would've said that they saw him and even went to their deaths because of their refusal to deny who they saw is one thing... but over 500?!! And over 500 were crucified |
