Dunks of the Week from D-Wade and Amare (NASTY)

LifestyleHealth, Sports & Fitness

These were my two favorite dunks from the past week. First is Dwyane Wade's absolute destruction of the rim and Luis Scola's face. Why would you try and block that dude? You haven't learned yet? Didn't you see that new Jordan 2010 Commercial? Nightmares Never Sleep!!!  Just get out of the way and save yourself the posterization.

The next one from Amare Stoudemire might be even better. He completely embarrasses Portland's Dante Cunningham on this nasty flush  "Move Bitch!  Get out the Way!"  DAMN!

Monta Ellis' Latest Trick Shot - Backwards From The Other 3 Point Line (WOW!)

LifestyleHealth, Sports & Fitness

And why is Monta Ellis not in the H-O-R-S-E competition again? I'm pretty sure every single NBA fan would rather see him instead of Sacramento's Omri Casspi considering maybe 3 people actually know who the F*** he is. I had to look up which team he played for because I literally had no idea. Yikes.

It's not like this is the first time Ellis has pulled off a crazy shot either. He showed us some crazy tunnel shots a few months ago and his in game acrobatics are pretty incredible too.

I still think Rondo is going to pull off the win this year though. He has so many crazy shots in games, I have to imagine he has even more up his sleeve where he can do anything he wants without a defender in front of him.

J.R. Smith's Sick Post Move Dunk on King's Omri Casspi (NICE)

LifestyleHealth, Sports & Fitness

Denver Nugget J.R. Smith completely OWNED Sacramento King Omri Casspi on Monday with this nasty post move and finished it off with a twirling reverse dunk.  That's nice!

Even though he can be a punk, the kid has some serious talent.  He's always good for at least one highlight a game.  If he could get his head straight, he could possibly be an All-Star someday but whether or not he can do that remains to be seen.

It will never happen but J.R. Smith could actually be the first ever "Bo Jackson" of NBA All Star Weekend by entering and possibly winning both the Slam Dunk and 3 Point Contests.  Why the hell not?  Dude would be a legend if he pulled it off.

Lakers Beat Celtics at Home; Kobe Hits Game Winner (WEAK)

LifestyleHealth, Sports & Fitness

I might need to stop going to Celtics games for the rest of the season because they lose almost every time I have tickets. I've probably seen most of their 8 home losses and I don't think I've seen a win in at least 4 games.  WTF is going on?

That was another tough loss for the C's considering they started off down 13 in the first quarter but fought there way back to take control of the game through the 2nd and 3rd quarters.  They were up by 10 points in the 4th quarter but let the game slip away.  Unfortunately, this has become more of a trend than a random occurrence and things are not looking so good.  I thought the Celtics looked much better than expected against the Lakers but letting them win that game is not good for their confidence moving forward.  Not only does it let the Lakers think they can beat the Celitcs at home but it also took away some potential momentum for the C's that would have been gained by the win.

I don't know that there is anyone to truly blame for the loss since it was a collaborative effort but I always look at Doc because he is the one running the show.  His substitution pattern was all over the place again and he didn't have the starters all together until midway through the 4th when the Lakers were already going on their run to erase the 10 point lead.  One of his assistants really needs to just tell him when it's time to make substitutions because he is not capable of doing it himself.  He always leaves people in too long to the point that they are ineffective and he also let's his hot players sit on the bench too long and when they come back in, they are as cold as ice.  I think Doc's new nickname should be "The Cooler".

The one play that pissed me off more than Kobe's winning shot was the play prior when Pierce was called for an offensive foul on the push-off.  Yes, he definitely pushed off a bit but that is a play that is rarely called at the end of a close game, yet alone on your home court.  Artest did a good job of acting and he sold it hard to the refs.  It looked like Artest was already off balance but I guess you can't make any excuses.  It just sucks since Pierce hit the shot and that would have completely changed the game.  It really was a tough call to make with 10 seconds left in a close game.  Whatever happened to letting them play during the last 2 minutes?  It seems like those days might be gone.

On top of it all, the TD Garden REFUSED to show the replay of the controversial offensive foul call on the Jumbotron so the fans had no idea what the hell happened and we were completely stunned by the call.  Way to go, Jumbotron operators.  You just took a way a perfect opportunity to get the fans fired up to possibly help the Celtics get energized for the last play of the game.  Instead, everyone was flat because they had no idea what just happened.  Ridiculous.

BC's Corey Raji Throws Down a Nasty Alley Oop vs. Clemson (WITH AUTHORITY)

LifestyleHealth, Sports & Fitness

WOAH!  That's how you throw it down with authority!  BC's Corey Raji definitely has some hops and he showed it with this posterization of Clemson's Milton Jennings on the "and 1" alley oop.  I'm gonna have to start watching some more of Boston College's games because they have some legit athletes on their squad.

Don't forget the ridiculous dunk by Reggie Jackson (that didn't count but should have) from earlier this season. CRAZY!!!

Blindfolded Half-Court Shot To Win Final Four Tickets (OR NOT)

LifestyleHealth, Sports & Fitness

Talk about an epic fail mixed in with some reverse pwnage. Students at Olathe Northwest High School in Kansas planned to trick the head girls basketball coach, Joel Branstrom by telling him he would win Final Four tickets if he hit a blinfolded half-court shot at their pep rally. The students were told to act all crazy as if he made the shot, assuming that he would miss.

Instead of being a hilarious trick, Branstrom actually drilled the shot which caused some serious confusion amongst the students. You could see the "Oh S***" looks on their faces after he hit it and they realized they did not have Final Four tickets. If I was that coach, I'd make those little punks pay up. I don't care what you have to do, just get me my tickets, suckas. That's just not cool to mess with a dude like that.

Here's the College Humor prank that they tried to copy but failed miserably:
