This month’s newsletter is a little different from the previous ones.
We will not introduce any new features this month – the BloggersBase team has been working diligently on improving our platform’s infrastructure, changing how things work behind the scenes. These improvements will be reflected in a more stable platform and better traffic from search engines. Work on these features is still ongoing, but we feel making this change now will improve the experience of using BloggersBase for all of us.
Such an infrastructure change might result in some bugs or functionality issues. The BloggersBase team is running thorough tests for each addition, making sure it works properly and it doesn’t interfere with any of the existing features, but sometimes we might miss little things.
If you happen to notice any problems with the system in the upcoming weeks, please make sure to alert us to them as soon as you can. It would be extremely helpful if you could provide as many details about the problem as possible, for example:
- If you encounter a problem on a specific web-address (URL), please specify that address
- Please mention which browser (and version) are you using – we are working hard to make BloggersBase compatible with all browsers, including Internet Explorer, FireFox, Chrome, Safari, etc.
- In case it’s a visual problem – feel free to use the BloggersBase info address to attach a screenshot of the issue.
We thank you for your understanding and patience.
Announcement
We would like to take this opportunity and mention again the changes in our prizes policy, as was originally published in this official blog post.
BloggersBase is now approaching sponsors that want to get involved and reward the talented bloggers that win the weekly competitions with prizes. The Love and Relationship blog is already sponsored by Meezoog and will continue to award the same prizes as before – 50 USD a week.
We also wanted to remind you about partnership blogs that reward other prizes other than money:
The BloggersBase team has started approaching companies, organizations, websites and individuals to sponsor as many of its blogs as possible. If you as bloggers or readers think about anyone you know who might be interested, please connect us.
If you want to suggest any sponsors, please feel free to contact us and also inform them of their benefits:
- They get premium space for placing their name, logo and link on a blog targeting their domain of interest, full of both bloggers and readers.
- Creating a user which can get involved with the blog community highly increases interaction and possible cooperation with potential customers.
- It creates an open channel through which the sponsor can bounce ideas and information and can get true and valuable feedback.
Your responses to the announcement had been great and we’ll do our best to lift BloggersBase even higher than before. Also, please let us clarify that BloggersBase will be very careful and vigilant regarding fair play in sponsored blogs – sponsors are only there to enable a free discussion on the topic of interest. They will not decide who the winner of the competition is and will not be able to influence bloggers to write about or favorably review their own products unjustly.

| Upcoming Blogs |
|
Anime & Manga
Anime & Manga, located under the Hobbies upcoming category has become one of the most popular upcoming blogs. Even though it is one of the newest blogs and currently has only two bloggers contributing to it, it enjoys a very large readership.
Quite a few bloggers are responsible for this meteoric rise of the blog, Toonleap is by far the leader with a staggering amount of 258 posts in just 3 months!!! We have selected him to be BloggersBase user of the month and are proud to present the interview with him:
| Q: |
How do you approach the process of creating a post? Do you do any research, and if so, where? How do you choose your subject? |
| A: |
I just do all research by visiting newsfeeds, anime websites, otaku sites in japanese and english and different news websites that deals with Japanese background on anime, manga, and otaku. It takes some hours to do an extensive research and sometimes it takes longer if I have to translate Japanese to English...not an easy task. I choose any news that I find interesting and I am sure our readers likes the subjects We blog...at least most of the time. |
| Q: |
What is the feature or aspect that you like the most about BloggersBase? |
| A: |
I like Bloggers Base because users can update the content via email or thru the control panel they offer. Also, you can edit the posts to suit the reader´s taste. I think the technical support staff at BloggerBase are very friendly and they help users in an speedy way. I still have to discover more of BloggerBase but I like what I see now. |
| Q: |
What influenced you to start blogging? |
| A: |
At first, I created Cartoon Leap with one goal in mind...to promote my drawing skills and personal stories. At first I tried very hard but suddenly I found myself blogging about my favorite hobbies like Anime and Manga, then I deal with Japan news and Otaku. At the end, Cartoon Leap became an Anime Blog instead of a personal blog. I want to show my own, personal projects like my own webcomic or Manga and someday perhaps, do my own anime. |
| Q: |
What feature do you feel that is missing from BloggersBase? |
| A: |
Tough question. Well, I did some mistakes before with some posts when I put them in the wrong category and the only way to change it was to contact customer support for that. There should be more freedom to do such a thing. Bloggers can make mistakes and time is essential to correct those mistakes. |

| Featured User of the Month |
This month we would like to present two great users. The first is Toonleap, which was featured alongside the blog he contributed so much to – Anime & Manga. He was kind enough to answer a few of our questions and we encourage you to read the insightful interview in the Upcoming Blogs section.
The second practically needs no introductions – he is one of our earliest members and always an extremely early adaptor of each new feature, highly involved both as a blogger and as a reader in many blogs, with a huge community on BloggersBase – none other than RamaraoBobby:
| Q: |
We see that you have almost 150 friends on BloggersBase, have you made any interesting connections with these users? Do you find this network useful? |
| A: |
Whenever I find any article interesting, I made a habit of adding the writer to my friends list so that I can read their future posts. Thanks to the unique Sharing feature of BloggersBase that notifies me whenever my friends publish new posts. I am also fortunate to have made some interesting connection with some of my friends at BloggersBase: Joankw, ali, myqute, shari, Tati, Emilly, carrine, madgeek(ritesh), Another Blogger, Shahershad, shabnamsultan & kaytiiangel to name a few. |
| Q: |
You are active on several technology blogs on BloggersBase - which blog do you enjoy most and why (writing and reading both)? |
| A: |
I enjoy all the technology related blogs on BloggersBase as it gives me a nice opportunity to be up to date with the new advancements in various aspects of technology. It’s a bit difficult to pick one as I enjoy both reading and writing on Computers, Internet & Mobile related stuff.
Besides technology, I enjoy reading Business & Finance related articles especially those written by Joan & Martin, Health & Fitness related articles from myqute & CaroleParker and Humor related stuff written by Tedwest, Joan & Solitary Writer. |
| Q: |
What does a quality post consists of, in your eyes? How do you approach the process of creating one? |
| A: |
I don’t expect or find any key ingredients that make a quality post. According to me any post that’s well presented and interesting is a quality post. Also it’s much better if it can teach me something new or make me inspired. My approach is to just keep these simple things in mind while writing an article.
With the ever growing technology, every article in the technology offers something new to learn. And when it comes to writing inspiring articles, I better leave that to leaders on BloggersBase like Joankw and MartinZwilling. |
| Q: |
As an experienced blogger - what advice would you give to new bloggers? |
| A: |
Be Passionate, Confident & Consistent with unquenchablefaith in you and the will to succeed. When you get started as a newbie blogger or create a startup online, there will be only few to encourage you but many that try to discourage your efforts. So, all you need to do is to "Never try to leave those who encourage & never care the words of those who discourage you". Because it’s you that knows deep inside how potential you are in achieving your goal.
At this point I would love to remind you the words of the true leader Mahatma Gandhi: “First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, then you win.” Also getting started as a blogger has its own challenges. The main difficulty is to find good readership from the day one of your blogging journey and it takes a lot of time and effort to make your presence felt in the vast ocean of blogosphere.
This is where BloggersBase has lot of offer. With many readers eagerly waiting to listen what you have to say, you can start promoting your articles, establish yourself as an expert in your chosen category and make money at the same time joining BloggersBase. So, my sincere advice to all the newbie and semi-professional bloggers out there is to consider signing up for an account on BloggersBase and start promoting your articles. |
| Q: |
Being an early adopter of most of the new BloggersBase features - which do you like most and which do you feel are missing? |
| A: |
BloggersBase itself is something unique and one of it kind on the internet and every feature of BloggersBase are my favorite.
Missing features on BloggersBase:
1) Flexibility in the payment options. I look forward to see more payment options besides PayPal as some countries don’t have PayPal support.
2) Ability to automatically add referred people to our friends list.
