And the Winners are…

We are extremely happy to announce our first partnership blog, on the topic of Social Media. A partnership blog resides on BloggersBase (in a special "Partnership" category) and is powered by one or more famous external blogs. These blogs deal with specific topics close to the hearts of our partners and in their domain of specialty.

These blogs are somewhat different from the regular blogs on BloggersBase:

• Our partners are always co-authors of these blogs, bringing their knowledge and content to our readers.

• To become a co-author alongside them, you'll usually have to be one of their readers and get an invitation from their own blog, just to participate in the BloggersBase competition in this blog.

• The prizes are also different, focusing on exposure and networking, rather than monetary awards. Our partners are kind enough to offer winners of the competition extra exposure, in different forms. Some will choose to let the winners write a guest post on their blog, while others might prefer to cover the winners' own blog in a special post. With just one week on the air we've managed to get one of our users' posts, a guide about choosing a computer monitor, to the 8^th place in Google's search when typing "how to choose a monitor".

The LeWeb'08 conference was very exciting and we had a great time, met many people (including partners we've met for the first time) and enjoyed interesting lectures. All in all, the atmosphere was very fitting an Internet convention… it's hard to say what made it so, but we definitely felt like we were at the right place.
