Not Only Our Logo is Green - Green Bag Giveaway!

There will be lots of great companies at LeWeb'08 and we're sure everybody is going to enjoy very cool giveaways.

So after deep contemplation of what will make the conference's visitors happy, we have decided to go with a large Green Bag, to help you carry all the other giveaways around.

Not only is it reusable, but also environment friendly!

The only thing left to worry about is whether the airline company will be kind enough to let me carry the overweight luggage, and for the French customs to show some understanding about a traveler with 3 unusually large boxes.

Official Beta Launch at LeWeb'08

We're very excited to announce our upcoming official beta launch at the LeWeb'08 conference, on the 9th and 10th of December. /

We've cut our deadlines back a little so we can attend this great conference and share BloggersBase with everybody.
LeWeb'08 is so blogger-friendly that they have announced an accreditation program for bloggers, podcasters, and generally “electronic media people” from all over the world.
In this spirit we're also planning some very special surprises for the attending bloggers, but we're not forgetting all the other attendees either. Stay tuned and perhaps we'll sprinkle a few clues around.
So we are looking forward to seeing you all at the conference!

Tools for Bloggers – Enrich Your Posts

In case you decide to create your post directly on our site, we've been adding some new tools to make your post better and your life easier.
The first is Zemanta: We are using Zemanta 's revolutionary new web service for accelerating on-line content production. Your post is analyzed by Zemanta, which recognizes all contextual content. Zemanta then combs the web for the most relevant images, smart links, keywords and text, feeding the results back to us, instantly enabling you to enrich and inform your content. /

When creating your post the Zemanta images tab displays relevant images found on the Web, along with the how confident Zemanta is about their relevancy. Notice that these images, like most other you can find yourself on the Web, are usually not free for general use. This is one of Zemanta's great benefits – they detail the license of each image, along with the required attribution if necessary. This way you can safely and legally use images to enrich your posts.

Zemanta articles tab brings you articles related to your own posts from the Web. You can explore them to see other opinions on the same topic, connect with other bloggers, and add relevant links to these sources for the benefit of your readers.
If it's images we're talking about, we have also enabled a Flickr

Do you care about your users?

During the last two months we've been receiving a lot of feedback items and we wanted to share the great feedback tool we've been using.
/
See the "Feedback" button on the bottom? It is supplied by Kampyle, and you can get it for your own blog or site as well.

It can be used it to give any kind of feedback, starting with general feeling about the site or page, through content problems, to specific bug reports. Behind the scenes it has a very user friendly dashboard that displays various analytics about the feedback items, by grades, by categories, by pages, chronologically, etc.

Moreover, it has an internal inbox, very smartly (and automatically) arranged by categories, enabling grouping of feedback of the same issues. It also allows responding to users who have supplied their email address, as well as set and track the status of the reported issues.

In short – if you care about what your users think and would like to improve your site, this tool is a must!
