We are very proud to announce that BloggersBase has just upgraded its visual design to a completely new look.
More detailed information about this will follow in the upcoming newsletter, but here are my introduction and tips.
As you can see in the screen-shot below, aside from the sleek new menu and general layout, the post page has much more visual information about related posts, recent posts, etc.
The images associated with these posts are the same excerpt images that accompany your posts when they reach the main page or the category (containing several blogs) pages.
BloggersBase is trying to automatically extract excerpt images from your posts if you didn't set any yourselves, but obviously the results will be much better if you choose to set an excerpt image on your own. Just take a few extra seconds when publishing a post and set your own custom excerpt image (these have to be square, but you can use our built in cropping tool).
Without excerpt images, your posts will be less likely to be visible and discovered by other users and readers.
Please visit the site and let us know what you think. If you have any suggestions, or experience any problems, or simply want to let us know what you think - drop us a line.
It's a work in progress, so expect to see more changes in the upcoming days.
Twitter users - check out the Twitter syndication.... if you leave a comment on BloggersBase, it can also update your Twitter stream. Moreover, if someone else with Twitter association leaves a comment on your post, it'll also appear as a reply to you on Twitter - better promotion and instant notification.
