NEAT - Easy Workplace Weight Loss Solution

LifestyleHealth, Sports & Fitness

Can you imagine the workplace as helping you keep fit, after all, we spend hours at our desks, and there are usually plenty of calorie filled snacks machines to keep you from suffering mid afternoon hunger pangs.

Still, an expert from the Mayo Clinic suggests that the office may, in fact, be an unrecognized (and as yet unused) place that can help us all stay fit. Not only can it improve your health but workplace productivity as well.

The "healthy office" approach is what is known as Non-Exercise Activity Thermogenesis (NEAT for short) and happens naturally as we use energy for all kinds of things. Expert Dr. James A. Levine of the Mayo Clinic believes NEAT is different from other energy expending processes such as digestion, at rest metabolism and exercise.

For sedentary Americans, the amount of energy burnt off by active exercise (like the kind you get during a gym workout) is "negligible" compared to what's lost via NEAT which accounts for between 15% (for very sedentary people) to almost 50% (for very active people) of the energy spent over the course of a day.

Minerals

Minerals found in our foods are essential for healthy bodily functions. Unfortunately, USDA research has shown that a high percentage of people have an insufficient intake of essential minerals. Again supplementation is necessary to get these necessary nutrients

In selecting a mineral supplement is to get them from a plant  source because of the bioavailability and are soluble in the body with  minerals from a plant source with Real Food TechnolgyTM.

Q: How can I identify commonly used mineral salts or mineral/organic acid mixtures in a supplement (not Real Food TechnologyTM)?

A: The mineral name will usually end in one of the following:

ascorbate     aspirate        carbonate      chloride

citrate           disulfide       gluconate       glycerophosphate

iodide           lactate          malate            methionine

orotate         oxide            picolinate        dibasic phosphate

tribasic phosphate           stearate

Achieving Positive Lifestyle Changes

Why do so many dieters fail to achieve their goals? Could it be they set themselves up for failure with unobtainable goals? Like many during a new year’s resolution, you’ve probably made ambitious plans for positive change. We want to help you make it stick this time.
You may be thinking, “I’ve been unsuccessful at losing weight in the past. Why should now be any different?” The key lies in gradually adjusting your way of life.
This time, you’ll learn and welcome the mind-set of making smart decisions about eating, exercise and supplementation. You’ll learn to make small changes that lead to a healthy lifestyle, instead of another on-again/off-again dieting nightmare.

The 3 Rs of a Healthy Lifestyle

To adjust your lifestyle, focus on three simple, yet equally important steps:
Renew your commitment to a healthy lifestyle by eating nutritious, high-fiber, low glycemic meals. (Don’t forget portion management and a Core 4 family of vital wellness nutrient supplements that has worked for others in my practice. Hormone Balance Before/During/After Menopause

Do these symptoms sound familiar?
Headaches   Fatigue   Bloating   Sore Breasts   Depression   Stress
Hot Flashes   Bones and Joints   Sex and Sexuality   Self-esteem

This is a collection of PMS and menopause symptoms. Although no one knows exactly if all women have one or more of them, it is theorized that they have an unbalanced or lower than average progesterone levels.*

* In order to understand what some women go through each month, we need to understand what happens during the menstrual cycle. Estrogen is the dominant hormone during the first week after menses.

When ovulation occurs, progesterone levels rise and then dominate over estrogen during the two weeks before menstruation. If there is too much estrogen or not enough progesterone during these two weeks, there is an abnormal exposure to estrogen dominance, which sets the stage for the symptoms that occur.

Also, very few doctors give their patients a complete list of  PMS and menopause symptoms. And besides menopause symptoms, there are premenopause symptoms and perimenopause symptoms.

Endocrine System

LifestyleHealth, Sports & Fitness

Your body produces its own chemicals and uses them to control certain body and cell functions. The Endocrine System influences almost every cell, organ, and function of our bodies. It regulates mood, growth and development, tissue function, metabolism, sexual function and reproductive processes. The endocrine system is in charge of body processes such as cell growth.

What Is The Endocrine System?

The foundations of the endocrine system are the hormones and glands. Hormones transfer chemical messages and instructions from one set of cells to another. Many different hormones move through the bloodstream, but each type of hormone is designed to affect only certain cells.

A gland is a group of cells that produces and secretes or gives off chemicals. A gland selects and removes materials from the blood, processes them, and secretes the finished chemical product for use somewhere in the body. Endocrine glands release more than 20 major hormones directly into the bloodstream to cells in other parts of the body.
