    • The Semantic Web is primarily an infrastructure technology that will bring new informations to the Web, helping to link sites to each other & to create more information that can be somehow "understood" by the computer. This is supposed to happen through an actual integration with the current Web.
    • Various sites like Twine and Freebase already use RDFa, and other and Semantic Web formats in general; see also some recent projects by Google ("Rich Snippets") and Yahoo ("Search monkey"). And Powerset technology is contributing to Microsoft Bing "Decision Engine".
    • Semantic Search is expected to work with ontologies and URIs; although at the moment these technologies work in some kinds of Intranets, and the main linking part is still missing.
    • Technologies blogs are already creating about 750-800 million triples a week – look for the Open Calais project. Scaling is a critical point, along with the forementioned linking effort.

In case you decide to create your post directly on our site, we've been adding some new tools to make your post better and your life easier.
The first is Zemanta: We are using Zemanta 's revolutionary new web service for accelerating on-line content production. Your post is analyzed by Zemanta, which recognizes all contextual content. Zemanta then combs the web for the most relevant images, smart links, keywords and text, feeding the results back to us, instantly enabling you to enrich and inform your content. /

When creating your post the Zemanta images tab displays relevant images found on the Web, along with the how confident Zemanta is about their relevancy. Notice that these images, like most other you can find yourself on the Web, are usually not free for general use. This is one of Zemanta's great benefits – they detail the license of each image, along with the required attribution if necessary. This way you can safely and legally use images to enrich your posts.

Zemanta articles tab brings you articles related to your own posts from the Web. You can explore them to see other opinions on the same topic, connect with other bloggers, and add relevant links to these sources for the benefit of your readers.
