Just got a new mobile phone? Trying to find out what to do with your old one? How about selling it? A number of companies will now pay for your old phone and recycle them - either refurbishing or recycling back into the market. You will need to take precautions if you decide to do this, but that is not so hard. It's not hard to do, but if you think you are going to have any problems, you can typically find a manual for most phones available in PDF format with most search engines.
You will need to look at the accessories you have bought and decide if you wish to sell them also. Some companies will also buy accessories if it is for a popular model, If the gadgets you've collected aren't compatible with your new model, then you may be able to get some extra cash if you trade them in. Sometimes, credit is available to be used against a new cell or perhaops the accessories if you are buying a new one. There are even a number of chrity organizations involved in recycling these, including the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds.

The U.S. has finally banned texting for truckers and bus drivers. But what about banning ALL drivers? In one recent article it stated that over 200,000 accidents happen while people are texting.
Why are we as a nation so reluctant to ban texting for everyone while operating a car? One article states that: Now, bus drivers and truck drivers who are caught texting will face fines up to $2,750. It remains to be seen whether such measures will become standard for all U.S. drivers.
If a trucker or bus driver causes an accident while illegally texting they could face jail time. We are a nation of cowards. We don’t have the guts to ban texting for all drivers and require hands free cell calls. |

This is from German television, but the technician is an English-speaker. Watch as the 'passenger' goes through a full body scan, which catches his cell phone but misses his bomb components. Here's an explanation from the Daily Caller (Hat Tip: Instapundit): A demonstration of a full-body scanner on German television last week revealed that the device, which uses infrared technology, was able to detect little more than a cellphone, a knife, and the girth of the man walking through it.
The problem? He was also packing a bomb.
“Admittedly, he only faced the scanner from the front and not from the side,” wrote computer security pro Bruce Schneier. “But he also didn’t hide anything in a body cavity other than his mouth — I didn’t think about that one — he didn’t use low density or thinly sliced PETN, and he didn’t hide anything in his carry-on luggage. Full-body scanners: they’re not just a dumb idea, they don’t actually work.” Let's go to the videotape.
