Happy birthday, Wilhelm Grimm!

Is he celebrating, along with fellow ghosts, in some dark, somber forest, or maybe in the graveyard? Seems rather fitting...

Wilhelm Carl Grimm was born on February 24, 1786. He had not just his famous brother - Jacob Ludwig Carl, but 7 more siblings (only one of them a girl). All 9 were born within a period of 11 years. But the house wasn't really so crowded: three of the brothers (including the first-born) died before they reached their first birthday. This left Jacob the eldest living brother, and Wilhelm - the second.

42″ Flatscreen TV Turned into a Wearable iPhone Costume

If you see these guys getting out of their car at your local Halloween costume contest, just pack up your costume and go home because you have no chance of winning. This is officially the BEST COSTUME EVER (of the week). Reko Rivera and John Savio created these awesome costumes each using a real 42″ LCD TV. The TV's are connected to their actual iPhones (docked just above the TV) and will show whatever the iPhone display shows. Yes those televisions are heavy! They weigh 85 pounds each, plus the weight of the batteries to power them and the wires and iPhone. That's $2000 worth of gear strapped onto these lads. Robot Mask with iPhone Moving Mouth

Halloween is just around the corner... ok maybe down the block, past the traffic light and then around the corner, but anyway it's next month. Oh, if you have plans for your kid's costume this year that you're totally set on, you might want to not let the kids watch look at this post. Cause it's the greatest Halloween costume ever.... of the week. It's a simple cardboard box with a aluminum foil covering and big ol' eyes to make it look like a robot. Simple enough.

BUT, combine that with the mouth hold mounted iPhone and you have a ridiculous costume. Ridiculously awesome that is. See, you use the iPhone app called "Mouth Off" which enables you to show a moving mouth on the screen that moves when you talk. When you talk, the lips move in synch. So simple, yet so great. And if you have the iPhone already, it's basically free (I'm not sure if the app costs or not). If not, it would be worth it get the iPhone just for this costume. Just remember to poke holes for your eyes so you can see (do it BEFORE you put the mask on, trust me). Here you can watch the how to video
