I Am Complete

When you read that title, does it seem to you like something is missing? It's ironic but I get that. I understand that it would be easier to wrap your brain around, "I am completely certain that the earth is round," or even "...that I am loved, or 'happy', or tall." I am, by the way, completely certain of all of those things, but how can I say, "I am complete?" Maybe, in your mind, that simple statement is too simple to contain such a vast concept. What would it take for you to feel complete?

What would it take for you to BE complete? What would you have to add, or change, to arrive at completeness or wholeness? Depending on your self-image at this present moment, your list might be quite long; time to break out a new pad of paper...? Right now, your truth may be one of feeling utterly incomplete, insufficient, or inadequate. You may feel broken or broke, in need of fixing or a fix. You may feel the need for a little cash infusion, or a big one, better yet; or maybe just an escape from this feeling, a trip to anywhere but where you are - who you are.

I was born in the United States of America. Still live here, though I’ve traveled to Canada, Mexico, Viet Nam, Japan, and the Philippines.

I used to love my country as I love my parents, claiming them as place and people of my origin.

I still love my country but not, any longer, like I love my parents. I’ve learned that my place of origin is the Earth.

The Earth has always been whole and unified. Even though certain humans have declared various areas of Her surface as separate from other areas and stained Her soil with torrents of blood to maintain those national boundaries, She is whole.
