The fine-toothed comb of Time marches onThrough the scalp of Life.

 

 

I knew it. I knew it. I knew that by coming here and taking care of my three rambunctious grandkids I would be entering a time machine and going back in time. And it's happened! Despite my arthritis, nasty knees, lower back pain and fatitude (just coined a new word; you like it?), I am growing backwards into childhood, or rather into being a (younger-like) parent, complete with lacking sleep and not having time to shower for days(don't get too close) caring for three kids under nine. I'd forgotten what it's like: getting kids UP in the morning, getting them washed and dressed (they can do some or most of it themselves, except for the one with the cast on her right arm...) and fed, getting the bathing suits on and slathering them up with sunscreen and putting the change-of-clothes and towels in the backpack and making sure their lunchboxes are also in and that everything is LABELED with their names on it. And making breakfast every morning (No, I want EGGS and GRITS I don't want cereal) and contending with the "I want to play first" or the "I don't want to get dressed" or the HE'S COPYING ME or SHE STUCK HER TONGUE OUT AT ME tell her to STOP it or I DON'T LIKE THAT CHEESE SANDWICH FOR LUNCH I WANT MEATBALLS AND PUSGETTI

Buying food in bulk

It’s been found that the more we buy the more we eat, scientists found at Cornell University , that when people buy large quantities of food they can tend to eat, more food within the first eight days of buying the bulk purchase of food. Only when the quantity of food tends to get lower, then we will tend to eat less.

Not taking notes

It’s very easy to underestimate the amount of food that you're eating, and the amount of exercise that you are doing as well in relation to each other, it's a good idea to make note’s of both. Either use paper and pen, or create a document on your computer, studies have shown that when you record what you are doing, you will get far better results.

Take note who you associate with, friends and family

Surprisingly enough this is something we don't even think about, if you're a single person on your own for instance and you are happy eating your soups and salad’s and generally eating healthily. And then one day you decide to move in with your partner and share a house, and he wants to eat meat and three veg, followed by a sticky pudding.

The chances are that if he is overweight/obese then there is the possibility that you may end up the same way. A study which was conducted by the New England Journal of Medicine confirmed that, our risks of becoming obese can increase by a figure of 37 percent if our partners are overweight, and if our friends are overweight/obese then that figure goes up to 57 percent.

2445609182_f4c99b555d_m[1]Don’t be to put of by the title of this post because this really does come from nature, itself and nowadays we do tend to work against nature rather than with it. What is it exactly that decides when we eat and when the best time to exercise for us is ?

Well you have to look inside yourself to find out the answers because that is where they are, we came into this world hundreds of millions of years ago as primitive beings and now even though we are still primitive beings we are living in a highly competitive, modern world where there is constant pressure to get things done in such short space’s of time and this, is what is wrong we tend to work against our own internal time mechanisms or better known as our body clock.

So how does this fit in with exercise and eating well it's all to do with our internal body clocks, because of the habits that we inherit from our closest friends and our parents. We tend to think that these are the ways that we should be doing things all the time.

When is the best time to eat food?

Are we at all bothered about what time we should be eating our food, as far as our modern day society is concerned we should eat three meals a day breakfast, lunch and tea which most of us do, a lot of people can tend to skip breakfast which is not such a good thing to do, it has been noted by research we are tending to do things backwards as far as our eating habits are concerned.

That says feed me, food adverts tend to be very sensual obviously there is a reason for this; it gets our taste buds salivating.

They found in one part of the brain it caused activity of 24 percent, it works on a particular of the part of the brain which drives us to do things and get them.
