Pdf viewer in the Gmail few months back, All Gmail user eagrly awaited for their next update, Yes it's the right time for Gmail to
announce the new feature
”View as slideshow”. This feature allows Gmail users to view the TIFF and PPT files online, directly in your browser, without having to save the files to your computer and without needing to buy, install, or wait for any special software to start up.
The newly upgraded web-based viewer provides a richer set of features. You can zoom in and out, easy copy, paste, print presentation to a PDF document. Finally this must be apprecieated - yes, no flash pluginneed to be installed on your browser.
To open a PPT file without downloading it to your computer:
- Open the message containing an attachment.
- Click View as slideshow at the bottom of the message.
- It opens your slides in a new browser window.
- Navigate between slides by clicking the left and right arrow buttons at the top of the screen.
You can also view TIFF files on this upgraded web-based viewer. Initially users can only view top page of the multiple page TIFF files. Now with this new online viewer you can view multiple pages and "print" TIFF as Pdf file. This feature powerd with Google Docs.
As frequent TIFF and PPT file receivers this newly updated web-based viewer will surely makes easier viewing of the files. No more downloading the files on your desktop. Happy Googling
