When you got any voicemail notification to your Gmail, to play this voice message you need to enable "Google Voice player in mail" feature under Settings >>>> Labs. Now on every email notification about Google voice message this player will appear right below the message itself. Just click on play button to hear the voice message.
The good thing is, messages played from gmail wont displayed as new voice messages in your Google voice inbox. This indicates synced status in both your gmail and phone inbox.
Currently Google voice is available only with in US via invitation. If you already using Google voice try this new lab feature and shaare your experience.
