/Love is related to a sense of strong affection. The word love can refer to a variety of feelings, attitudes that may range from generic pleasure to intense interpersonal attraction. This complex feelings and diversity of meanings makes love difficult to define. However, love usually refer to a deep ineffable feeling of tender care towards another person. Even this limited conception of love, encompasses a wealth of varied feelings, from passionate desire, intimate romantic love to the non-sexual emotional closeness of platonic love and may be to the profound oneness or devotion of religious love. Thus, love in its various form acts as a major facilitator of interpersonal relationships. The nature or essence of love is a subject of frequent debate. Love is a general expression of positive sentiment. Love is commonly contrasted with hate and as a less sexual and more emotional intimate form of romantic attachment. Love is also contrasted to lust and is considered as a more interpersonal relationship with romantic overtones. Love especially interpersonal love when talked about with  relationship , refers to love between two human beings. It is a more potent sentiment than a simple liking for another person. That is why, interpersonal love is most closely associated with interpersonal relationships. Such love might exist between family members, friends and couples.

/However, relationship is normally viewed as a connection between two individuals, like a romantic or intimate relationship or a parent-child relationship. People or individuals may develop relationship with groups of people, such as the relation between a pastor and the congregation or guru and his disciples, any family member or even between a public figure and his followers. Rather, groups or even nations may have relation with each other, although this is a bigger dimension that is considered under the interpersonal relationship. These intimate relationships between two individuals are only a small spectrum of bigger interpersonal relationships. One has to admit that all relationships involve some level of interdependence. People in love in a relationship tend to influence each other, share their thoughts and feelings, and gets involved in activities of mutual interest together. Because of this interdependence , anything that changes or impacts one member of the relationship will have some level of impact on the other member. Close relationships are important for emotional wellbeing throughout the lifespan. Interpersonal relationships include kinship and family relations in which people become associated by genetics. These include such roles as father, son, mother and daughter. Relationships are also established by marriage such as husband, wife, father-in-law, and mother-in-law. They may be formal long term relationship recognized by law and also formalized by public ceremonies. Interpersonal relationship extends its reach even in between partners and co- workers in a business or profession or common workplace. Friendship sometimes starts with mutual liking , trust , respect and at times love and unconditional acceptance to get bonded in relationship . Platonic love is an affectionate relationship into which sexual element is absent. Therefore, love and relationship although expected to go hand in hand and very often is true but not always in existence.
