Israel's bogus demographic threat
Theodore Herzl (in 1900) and David Ben Gurion (in 1947) did not subordinate
their vision and long-term strategy to tenuous demographic constraints: A
Jewish minority of 8% and 33% respectively between the Jordan River and the
Mediterranean. Their defiance of odds was responsible for the 1948
establishment of the Jewish State.
In 2010, there is a solid 67% Jewish majority in the combined area of
pre-1967 Israel and Judea and Samaria. However, some Israeli politicians
employ toxic demographic assets. They inflate the number of Arabs in Judea
and Samaria in order to scare the Jewish State into a retreat from a most
critical area, historically and security-wise.

Urgent action - Please support prosecution of UCI students who disrupted the talk of Michael Oren
Please note: The leftists enemies of free speech [only they have the right
to speak] distributed the item below on internet calling on people to oppose
the punishment of students who tried to prevent Michael Oren, the ambassador
of Israel to the US from speaking at UC-IRVINE.
The item includes contact information for UC-IRVINE officials.
The item is provided so that people who support freedom of speech rather
than freedom to shout down and silence can see what enemies of free speech
are arguing.
[With thanks to "ActLeft, action list in Israel-Palestine" for providing the

At midnight on the 31 July 1988, one million Arab residents living in the West Bank who had been “Jordanians” since 1950 were no longer “Jordanians”
On 1 August 1988 those one million Arabs amazingly became subjected to a semantic conversion - to be known thereafter as “Palestinians”.
This remarkable transformation came about by an amendment to the Jordanian Nationality Law as a result of a speech given by Jordan’s King Hussein on 31 July 1988 announcing the severance of Jordan’s administrative and legal ties to the West Bank and relinquishing claims of Jordanian sovereignty in the West Bank. No laws were passed by Jordan on the details of such disengagement.
Two days before the king's disengagement speech, Jordan’s Ministry of Interior had issued disengagement instructions comprising 22 articles.
Article 2 of those instructions provided for withdrawal of Jordanian nationality from residents of the West Bank stating: |

Dr. Aaron Lerner Date: 11 February, 2010
Compare and contrast:
“A loathsome, criminal act of murder was committed today at a site holy to both Jews and Arabs in Hebron. The Prime Minister and Defense Minister, government ministers and citizens of the State of Israel severely condemn this terrible murder of innocent people, which occurred during Ramadan prayer services.”
Statement by Prime Minister Rabin on the Murders in Hebron, 25 February 1994.
'This incident condemned by us, which is incompatible with the Palestinian national interests, and with the efforts of the Palestinian National Authority, as well as with the commitments they have undertaken…. violence that has been proven to cause damage to the higher interests of our people…”
Palestinian Prime Minister Dr. Salam Fayyad 10 February 2010
The differences are hardly subtle. |

Dr. Aaron Lerner - IMRA 10 February 2010
Once again, Palestinian condemnation of an act of terror is not because the
action is in and of itself immoral but instead because it does not serve
Palestinian interests.
As the translated WAFA item below indicates, the issue is "the consequences
of these actions" and if they are "incompatible with the Palestinian
national interests".
This of course raises the obvious question: If the reason it is wrong to
murder Israelis on 10 February 2010 is that it doesn't serve Palestinian
interests and not that it is simply wrong to murder Israelis then what
happens if on 10 March 2010 circumstances are such that it does serve
