So Says Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei

If he says it, it must then be correct right? This statement comes only one day after IAEA, the anemic nuclear watchdog arm of the United Nations that is certainly not wont to say much of anything substantive, said that Iran is working on a warhead capable of delivering a nuclear device.

This days after Iran resumed uranium enrichment, one key component in the making of a nuclear device. This months after a report from The Times of London that it had documents dated 2007 stating that Iran was close to completing work on a neutron initiator, the trigger for a nuclear bomb. And so it goes and goes and goes.

"We had said many times that our religious beliefs consider the weapons as symbol of destruction and deems them forbidden and prohibited. We have no belief in atomic bomb and will never pursue it."

Hillary Clinton's words say no, no, no, but actions...

Actions Speak Louder Than Words

Speaking at an all-woman college in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton warned that if Iran develops nuclear weapons, an arms race in the Middle East could ensue.

Her words: "Everyone who I speak with in the Gulf, including the leaders here and leaders elsewhere in the region, are expressing deep concern about Iran's intentions."

Her warning, speaking of nuclear arms proliferation in the region should Iran develop this capability:

"If Iran gets a nuclear weapon, that hope disappears, because then other countries which feel threatened by Iran will say to themselves, 'If Iran has a nuclear weapon, I better get one, too, in order to protect my people. Then you have a nuclear arms race in the region."

Administration actions since the December 31, 2009 deadline for Iranian acquiescence to the deal to ship uranium out of the country for enrichment have been few, other than rhetoric aimed at getting nations such as China to sign on to the idea of stiff sanctions. In the meantime Iran continues to move forward without as much as a hiccup.

Words unnecessary. Actions required!

Good news: The path is open to another strongly-worded message to Iran

This is beyond ridiculous.
Later under questioning with her British counterpart David Miliband, Clinton said she believes a path is open to a strongly worded new U.N. Security Council resolution on Iran, which denies nuclear weapons ambitions.

Clinton declined to predict if such a resolution would include new sanctions but said the entire world has reason to be concerned about the prospect of a nuclear armed Iran.
That ought to do a lot of good: Another 'strongly-worded resolution.'

Even EU foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton, whose first action upon taking office was to rip Israel, seems to understand more about Iran than Clinton does.
"As I have said already, very publicly, we want to have dialogue, but six years of dialogue by my predecessor Javier Solana have not brought us to the outcome that we have wished. So we do have to consider what else needs to be done, and we stand ready to do that," she said.
Meanwhile, French President Nicolas Sarkozy is warning that Israel may act against Iran.
French President Nicolas Sarkozy assessed that Israel "would not stand by while Iran develops nuclear weapons," Al Hayat quoted sources close to the French leader on Saturday.

Mr. Obama: End Your Empty Iranian Rhetoric

Comparison Of Empty Rhetoric To Fear Of Action

On June 12, 1987, Ronald Reagan, a man who said what he meant and meant what he said, uttered this now famous phrase:

Mr. Gorbachev, open this gate. Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall!
A little more than two years later, the wall came down and the two Germany's were united.
Fast Forward To The Iranian Crisis

The United States and our allies (some of whom real and some in name only), in attempting to end the nuclear threat out of Iran, have been doing a dance of futility which has enabled Iran to get the upper hand. The upper hand in this case is continuing along on nuclear weapons development. It has additionally made the United States appear to be weak, indecisive and able to be played by regimes bent on evil. These are recent statements made by Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, which basically relinquishes the handling of this problem to the U.N. and to some consensus among our counterpart counties:

The World Dithers as Tehran Marches On

Deadlines come and go, threats are made and not followed through on and the nuclear machinery in Iran continues to churn with nothing, or no one, seemingly willing to stop it. Russia and China (discussed later) put up a false front of desiring to stop Iran's nuclear ambitions, while the United States led by Barack Obama has unfortunately become a paper tiger. While once feared to have bite behind our bark, the words of the current administration ring hollow.

No lacking in the supply of strong sounding rhetoric with no backbone unfortunately behind it. If you don't believe me, ask the rest of the world who is more than aware of this situation of weak leadership at the helm of what is supposed to be the worlds only superpower.

Pakistani Christmas Reminiscent Of Kristallnacht

A Key Ally In The War On Terror

In a country that is predominantly Muslim, what is the level of tolerance this Christmas season for the less than five percent of the population that is Catholic or Protestant. In the city of Gojra, Christians are now living in tent camps due to the rampaging mobs that in August rioted in the streets, looted their homes and burned those homes to the ground. Eight died, seven from one family.

This display of ethnic and religious hatred is reminiscent of the two days in November 1938, when in Germany Kristallnacht occurred, marking the beginning of Hitler's attempt to eradicate the Jewish population. Not only in Germany, but the Jewish faith period!

What is the government of Pakistan, one of our key allies
