Remedies for the Common Cold or Flu Part Four FLUMIST

What about the FluMist (Vaccine)? This is continued from Part Three: Tamiflu.  The FluMist® is the first flu vaccine of its kind - its appeal lies in the way it is administered - no painful shots and it's breathed in.  An intranasal influenza vaccine approved by the FDA for HEALTHY PEOPLE between 2 to 49, all you need to do is stick it up one of your nostrils!  lol

How effective is it?  How safe is it?

The FluMist® spray mimics what sneezing and coughing does - something that WHO and CDC say that can SPREAD flu (cover your mouth, wash your hands, etc).  And the FluMist® spray contains live biological virus, which means the live attenuated (weakened) virus in it, CAN BE transmitted to anyone within the first 3 weeks of Relenza useIn fact if you try to spray it in the air - VIOLA! - you have the H1N1 Flu virus around you in the air, in an instant!

The FluMist®'s leaflet says "FluMist® recipients should avoid close contact with immunocompromised individuals for at least 21 days."

Remedies for the Common Cold or Flu Part Three TAMIFLU

This is continued from Part Two: Relenza.

TAMIFLU also known as Oseltamivir, is a prescription capsule/pill, used to treat symptoms of influenza.  I say "symptoms" because sometimes root cause of symptoms may not be totally eradicated after symptoms have subsided.

Because totally healthy people were and are still getting these Tamiflu meds and suffering from its side-effects, prescription medicine like Tamiflu, are being used like some sort of preventive therapy.  That's scary!

About one in 20 children who are down with flu, vomit on the same day after taking Tamiflu.

The sick AND the healthy SUFFER from the side-effects of Tamiflu.

I found that there are more than 250 ratings for Tamiflu via AskaPatient, and DrugLib confirmed at least 90 deaths from Tamiflu!

In Singapore, the H95 masks are over-rated.  Because it does not boost your immunity towards viral infections.

[ Jump to Current Swine Flu News (May 7th 2009) (least important!) :: Kindergarten Preschoolers Advise ::The Advise You Don't see on CDC or WHO (more important!) :: How to choose your wife Organic Life-Saver (Immunity-Boosters) ]

The Advise You Don't See on Sites like CDC or WHO:

1. Sun yourself by having a 5 to 10-minute walk in the park (in the day of course). Even on a cloudy day some sun will help your body manufacture its own Vitamin D, which is crucial in helping your body assimiliate calcium and magnesium (they're a team!)

For those who remain indoors a lot may lack Vitamin D.  BabyDdrops may be the answer to alternate vitamin D (I will be covering more on this - the advantages and 'disadvantages' of using BabyDdrops - in another blog entry!)

2. Continue having a healthy supply of Omega-3 oils which promotes cardiovascular (heart) & joint health. The best source for Omega-3 oils are from shrimp-like crustaceans from the Antarctic - like the Krill
