Dealing With Break Up Pain

LifestyleLove & Relationships

No matter how you look at it, dealing with break up pain is not an easy task. Many people wrongly believe that they will be able to handle their heartbreak, then they realize that they still have feelings for the other person and the break up is similar to grieving. When it comes to the break up of a serious intimate relationship, dealing with the pain is difficult. You must look past the pain, you will survive even though it seems impossible.

The breakup of a serious relationship puts many people through misery and fear. Some of the people going through these feelings have no one in the world to turn to, and this is why people suffer so hard from heartbreak in the first place. Dealing with break up pain all by yourself can seem impossible at first, but consider how many people deal with love and loss in their lives and survive to talk about it. You too will be able to get over what feels like a crippling break up, but only if you are willing to deal with heartbreak pain the right way, and the healthy way for that matter.

What is 'Emotional Liposuction' and Why did I do it?

I went to the Theosophical Society about two weeks ago to listen to Gary Clyman speak on Emotional Liposuction. Every Thursday, the Theosophical Society, located in Wheaton, IL, has speakers on various topics from the metaphysical world. Gary is a Tai Chi Master and Wholistic Healer. Gary was at the Theosophical Society to talk about Emotional Liposuction.

Gary is a pretty rambunctious guy. Around his mid to late fifties now, Gary moves around a lot on stage and you can see that he likes being physical. He began his Tai Chi career in 1974. Gary studied Temple Tai Chi. To quote from his website 'Temple Style Tai Chi Ch'uan as passed from Master to disciple is a real Tai Chi system. It includes all aspects of the highly revered and famous art. It includes forms, standing and sitting meditations, martial art applications and fighting, two person sensitivity training and high performance endurance training. Rarely will you find a Tai Chi system like this. Masters from all over the country come to study with me on an ongoing basis'.

UGH

I own my own store. I employee people. I had one girl who worked for me who was the most accidental person. The sort of things that happened to her never surprised me but ONLY could happen to her. One time she brushed her teeth with baby lotion (cuz she picked up the wrong tube). One time she got lost going home (because the city had a detour set up). Her car is the sort of car she has to hot wire every once in a while.......
You KNOW this person. Each one of us has one juuuuust like her in our lives. She was mine..... I felt for her and was amused all at the same time. Until she left.............. Now I am sooooooo that person.

I don't want to be that person.

I don't do stupid stuff like the above list. Nah- I just hurt myself every day in one way or another- AND let me add, quite stupidly!!! Proof? Here we go:

Chondromalacia

LifestyleTravel

Chondromalacia refers to softening of the articular cartilage of the knee cap. This disorder occurs most often in young adults and can be caused by injury, overuse, parts out of alignment, or muscle weakness. Instead of gliding smoothly across the lower end of the thigh bone, the knee cap rubs against it, roughening the cartilage underneath the knee cap. The damage may range from a slightly abnormal surface of the cartilage to a surface that has been worn away to the bone. Chondromalacia related to injury occurs when a blow to the knee cap tears off either a small piece of cartilage or a large fragment containing a piece of bone.

Symptoms and Diagnosis
The most frequent symptom is a dull pain around or under the knee cap that worsens when walking down stairs or hills. A person may also feel pain when climbing stairs or when the knee bears weight as it straightens. The disorder is common in runners and is also seen in skiers, cyclists, and soccer players. A patient's description of symptoms and a follow-up X-ray usually help the doctor make a diagnosis. Although arthroscopy can confirm the diagnosis, it's not performed unless the condition requires extensive treatment.

Inducing the Will to Act

High-minded ideals are powerless to change the world unless we act on them. Seems simple enough yet it’s apparent that a sufficient amount of action has yet to occur—wars, terror, oppression, hate are still the gruesome menu of “modern” culture.

Even taking no action toward a more peaceful world is taking action. We can’t avoid action if we want to stay alive.

From OneWorld.Net: Development Aid Declining Worldwide

From the Center for Global Development: Poverty afflicts more than half the world’s people

From the Utne Reader: In Praise of Economic Pain

But, what do we choose to act on? Here’s the place most people get it wrong if they really want peace. Too many folk feel that talking it up with friends and neighbors is helping. But, if that talking never leads to concrete action, it was a total waste. Too severe a judgement? What if the talking is to “raise people’s consciousness” about what needs to be done? Still, if it doesn’t lead to concrete action, it’s been a waste of time.Preparing ourselves to take action for peace

Eliminating religious strife

Mary and Martha were having a discussion in the coffee shop. They’d just met fifteen minutes before and had been chatting about the debate between Obama and McCain. Mary said, “Well, seems we agree about who to vote for. What are you doing Sunday morning? I’d love to talk again—maybe while we walk the lower trail in the Metro Park.” Martha said, “Oh, I’ll be going to church Sunday morning. How about Friday around noon?” Mary said, “Oh, I can’t, that’s our time for community prayer in the mosque.”

They chatted for a bit more but the conversation withered away into banalities and, by the time they parted, both knew there would be no lasting friendship.

From the Jerusalem Post: “The reality of today’s Middle East is the same centuries-old one of ethnic and religious strife that extends far beyond the borders of the State of Israel.”

From the Egyptian Daily News: “Rashwan rather blamed Israel for creating ‘civil and religious strife between the different Arab countries.’”

From the Times of India:
