USB Powered Peeing Man

In terms of novelty USB powered gadgets, ones that include peeing figurines tend to have a leg up on all the others in terms of awesomeness (and uselessness). The Shoubenkozou from Japan's Thanko looks like something you'd find at Spencer's in a mall (in Tokyo). I guess it's really supposed to be used as some sort of desktop fountain? Because you need to keep it within reach of your computer to use the USB cord. But really, objects that spurt liquids, whether it's from their nether regions or elsewhere, should not be kept right next to your computer. Not a good idea.

Nature

OK, right off, this is just nasty. Gross, even. I'd have to be pretty desperate to consider this a good idea. On the other hand, I do know a few things about survival (not that I would be toting this around if it came to THAT). Drinking urine is possible, if there is no other choice.
With all of that, I'm wondering why someone would go to the trouble of designing something to make urine palatable as a water source. At any rate, here's the instructions for how the device works. You can make up your own mind.
