Originally Jackson was a rescue through the organization I founded, Southern California Giant Schnauzer Rescue, Inc. We placed him in a good home in Arizona. Unfortunately Jackson developed serious health problems which were impossible for a single Mom of 4 to handle. Jackson was given medical treatment by Dr. Suzanne Higgins who owns
Deer Creek Animal 
Hospital north of Phoenix. Dr. Suzanne (as she's known) is a true friend of Giant Schnauzers and all animals, and is on the board of Valley of the Sun Giant Schnauzer Rescue. Jackson ended up in a wonderful home with a woman known to the Giant community for her work with Giants who couldn't be placed in regular home situations. SCGSR works very closely with VSGSR, doing home visits, sharing placements, and helping with each other's rescue dogs as needs arise.
If Jackson wins this contest, VSGSR will receive a large donation. Considering all the help they've given Jackson, other Giants (even Dobies and other dogs from puppy mills and the like, who were in danger of being put down), I sincerely feel they deserve this donation. And the IMOM organization helps those who cannot afford medical treatment for their pet. This is

But if any of you consider donating to groups that help animals, I'd sure appreciate your vote in favor of Jackson. If it weren't for Terry Tanner and Dr. Higgins (due to VSGSR's involvement), Jackson would no longer be with us. He's a sweet Giant Schnauzer is extremely deserving for all he's been through.
Jackson has about 11 hours to win the photo calendar contest for IMOM. If he does, Valley of the Sun Giant Schnauzer Rescue will win 25% of the total donations. Terry Tanner adopted this boy and has given him a wonderful home along with the two ten year old giants from VA and several other giants in need that she has rescued across the country from Eastern Canada to GA.
