Hollywood - Under a cloud of shame, former Vice President Al Gore had to return his Oscar this morning after it was discovered he had his Ford Expedition, one of the largest gas guzzling SUV’s on the market, retrofitted with an after-market plugin designed for high output professional hair drying systems.

The illegal automobile enhancement was installed by Cuban and British Nationals in exchange for fabricated testimony in Gore’s “controversial” docudrama, An Inconvenient Truth.

The Cubans, who are testifying under condition of anonymity before the Academy Awards Panel and the Screen Actors Guild, said in exchange for the parts they played in An Inconvenient Truth, they installed a coal burning mini-power plant in Gore’s SUV in addition to the professional hair dryer retrofit, because the device’s immense energy consumption renders the automobile’s electrical systems inoperable. “I tried ta tell ‘em that we should probably stop with the commercial espresso machine,” said one of the Cubans, “but Al just kept whining day after day saying, ‘But you don’t understand; I promised Tipper. I promised Tipper.’ So, in the end, we installed it for ‘em.”

The salon grade hair dryer which produces heat equivalent to a 100 megaton nuclear blast, is said to be responsible for two major glacial melts and the destruction of some 350 million acres of Arctic habitat in the location where Gore shot the bulk of his film, An Inconvenient Truth.

The film, which makes the case for global warming, was the catalyst for a mostly Democratic congress to enact legislation costing tax-payers some 5 billion annually. Congressional leaders have no plans to repeal the legislation in light of Gore’s fraud. “I just feel that a man who has contributed as much to America as Al Gore has, deserves a little leeway,” said Senator Hillary Clinton (Dem-NY). “After all he did take the initiative in creating the internet. That kind of ingenuity (sic) the kind which adds so much value to the lives of Americans should be rewarded with gratitude. He made a mistake; lets not throw the baby out with the bathwater.”

When asked if she meant to call the former Vice President a baby, Sen. Clinton responded, “It depends on how you define ‘baby’; I probably should clarify that when I say ‘baby’ what I really mean is fetus. This is the proper term when referring to immature life forms of the human kind. You know, the ones we feel can be terminated if they are too inconvenient.”

Asked if her use of the term “fetus” was a metaphor, implying that Gore be terminated, Clinton promptly stopped the interview and referred us to her attorney at large, husband Bill.

Gore could not be reached for comment, but his publicist said Gore only used the British Nationals in the film because Americans believe “if you speak with a British accent and wear a lab coat you must be really smart.” His decision to use the Cubans was a pragmatic one; he simply needed the hardware installed on his SUV and he couldn’t bribe them to do the work unless he gave them a bit in the film and promised them amnesty.

talkingroosterz,
Hey, thanks for the comment.

Anyway, I put this on top to save you the trouble of having to dig through Jordan's thread.

You stated the "no WMDs" claim is justification for trying Bush as a war criminal.

I hate to be the one to tell you this, but you've been taken by one of the greatest liberwock fictions of all time.

The fact is, in June of 2006 the National Ground Intelligence Center, a Defense Department intelligence unit, released portions of a declassified report which stated unequivocally that "Since 2003, coalition forces have recovered approximately 500 weapons munitions which contain degraded mustard or sarin nerve agent."

Additionally, in a January 2008 report on 60 minutes, top CIA operative George Piro revealed that Hussein had phased out his biological weapons program since the 90s, but was willing to go to war with the U.S. because he needed to continue the illusion that he had an active WMD program, as a hedge against his arch enemy, Iran.

But the real bombshell was that Saddam was planning on restarting his program on every level (nuclear and biologic), approximately, one year after U.N. sanctions were lifted. This explains why he was actively approaching North Africa for the procurement of yellow cake.

What does it all mean? Well...it means that we can dispense with Bush bashing over the “no WMDs” hoax. There are plenty of other things to be pissed off about concerning Bush Jr. But his grounds for invasion ain't one of 'em. We can also dispense with the whole, “Bush should be tried for war crimes” B.S. as well. Long before Bush Jr was going to war, the same liberals who decried it, were agreeing with the intel and saying we had no choice but to take Hussein out. Are you going to demand that they be tried as well? I hope not, since the intelligence proves that for once the liberals along with Bush Jr got it right. You won’t read that in The New York T

Hi Chad, Al Gore is most famous for global warming via his Angus cows' methane (fart) production. Never knew that a hairdryer can be dangerous - and then I realise it's a political satire! haha

A satirical comment for a political satire - but guys I almost had a heart attack! lol

I thought that my "over-the-top" response would clearly and appropriately enhance the satirical tack of the article.

So, as much as I hate to admit it, Charlie is my friend...er..uh?..I mean, I was not being serious.

I will put this in the "respond" thread as well, so confusioness and Hagrid can reply to it in a timely manner if they so choose.

This is for everyone else. First, confusiusness (AKA confusioness) is a close personal friend of mine, so we sometimes like to trade barbs, cut on each other, sling mud, and call one another names. There's nothing serious about it. Just two friends goofing off. That leads me to my response on the "article."

If anyone who doubts the validity of this article bothers to take a look at the tags, they will see the tag, "political satire." That means, I have created a fictitious story (by way of this article), which highlights factual information. Confusioness, sometimes known as El grande chupacabra sniffer de queso, already knows this, Hagrid. He's just having some fun at my expense. But the article is simply political satire. Don't be confused by the story. Rather concentrate on the the implications of the story and the political orientation of the players in my fictional account. ENJOY!

I'm joining Confuciusness in asking if you have any evidence to back it up. This is serious allegations you are making here.

Do you have evidence to back this up? I mean really Charlie?

This is just another example of your irresponsible, uneducated, unsupported bias. You make ridiculous claims, and you don't even back them up with reliable references, like move-on.org.

I am disappointed. I will now remove you from my friends list, stop respecting you, and release those pictures that you've asked me not to.

I'm sorry, but the public needs to see you for who you really are, nothing but a straw-eating goat.
