"They issued several resolutions and sanctioned Iran," Ahmadinejad said in a speech translated by the AFP news agency. "They think Iranians will fall on their knees over these things but they are mistaken."

Here's a clue for Mr. Ahmadinejad that he should have realised back in 1979. The "World" didn't want Iran to fall to it's knees. Somewhere between then and now the World just wanted Iran to become part of it. By this I mean, setup trade, get along, create a prosperous society, etc. Iran has chosen to spit in the eye of the "world". Because of the chosen approach, we are in the present situation.

Because of Iran's activities over the past 30 years the "world" has no reason to trust Iran. If Iran only wanted nuclear power for commercial purposes it could have presented it's case to the "world" and the "world", after some convincing, would have helped Iran obtain this ability. By choosing to start the program secretly it signalled to the "world" that it has other more nefarious purposes for the development of a nuclear capability. Now there is no way to convince it otherwise. Based on the 30 years of history, the present Iranian regime has indicated that it wants it's own ideology to run the planet. This was never going to sit well with other nations.

Iran's support for terror groups over the three decades also has created a situation of distrust. Instead of spending money on it's own economy it has chosen to spend a good portion of it's treasure on the killing of people in other nations, especially Israel. Here's another clue for Mr. Ahmadinejad. A nation doesn't need an enemy in order to survive. Fabricated enemies are even worse.

"A team has been assigned to calculate all the damages [inflicted on Iran] in the Second World War. This will be an invoice they [Allies powers] must pay to the Iranian nation," he said in remarks broadcast live on state television Saturday.

Really?! Is this how a civilized nation acts? Tragically I can see this getting passed through the United Nations. Somehow the money that was compensated to the families of Jews will be brought into this. In fact, I see it being a major argument used by Iran. It will just be more proof of how inept and worthless the United Nations has become.

Ahmadinejad also warned that Iran may also demand compensation for the damages it suffered during World War I, the Western support for the former Pahlavi Dynasty and its hostility towards Iran since the 1979 Islamic revolution.

This is nothing more than added distractions. This is an attempt by Mahmoud to keep the West reeling from continuous frivolous charges in order to keep them from focusing on Iran's nuclear development. It's more of the same game that Iran has been playing for years.

Iran does not want to join the "Western World" it wants to destroy it and remake it in the islamist image. I have stated often that Iran has paid attention to history and is taking advantage of lessons learned in dealing with the West. It helps that they have Chinese and Russian support. Everyone on that side of the fence is taking advantage of Western weakness. That weakness has nothing to do with the economies and everything to do with ideology. The unwillingness of the West to utilize it's might will prevent it from beating back the islamist threat. If possible, Mao and Stalin are smiling.
