7 Things you can do RIGHT NOW to improve your lifestyle

1 - Do it now / make it regular: Try to integrate fitness in your every day life and make it part of your routine. If your schedule is busy like mine, you need to learn to exercise where ever you are using your environment! The gym is all around you!

2 - Do a little exercise every day:
Do something! Whether it is taking a 15 minute walk or doing 15 minutes of exercise at home, 10 - 15 minutes is better than nothing so do it! You can even use tools like NGR Shoes to increase the caloric burn and get more out of your short workout.

3 - Use the classics:
When you are in a jam and want to workout go back to those high school classics: Push-ups, Sit-ups, Squats, Lunges, Planks, and Leg Raises. The great part of these is that you can do them anywhere and that they're really effective. I always say the push-up is probably one of the best upper body workouts out there. Works everything from your core, to you arms, chest, and shoulders!

4 - Interval train as often as possible:
Interval training is the key to the busy person. Using burst training and alternating between high impact and low impact means getting much more out of a short time. Hitting 80-85% of maximum heart rate on and off can turn a 15 minute workout into the equivalent of 1 hour of working out.

5 - Manage your food consumption using alternate days:
Eating is key - no question! Best thing to do is alternate days on watching your food. So, if you're really busy and can't eat well one day, make sure you make up for it by eating well the next day. Research has shown this is just as effective as dieting every day!

6 - Drink smart:
Staying hydrated is really key to get health. Helps you're body flush toxins and is a great opportunity to reward the body. Try to avoid too much pop, coffee, or anything artificially sweetened. Water is the best but tea is also great for getting to your required half gallon (2 liters) a day.

7 - Try not to skip meals:
Eating regularly is very important but not always possible on a busy schedule. If you have to skip a meal, try to take a quick meal replacement that has everything you need to hold you up and nourish you. For examply, I think Muscle Milk Light is an easy & smart meal replacement.
