Energy/Meal Replacement Bars I invite you to take a look at these pictures to see if you can spot anything WRONG with this product (try not to peek at the answers):

Did you spot anything not
quite right?
As a regular customer of a health food store, I was given 2 bars of complimentary
Protein Delite. Protein Deliteis a choc
caramel (made with High Fructose Corn Syrup aka HFCS) low carb "indulgence" is an energy or meal replacement bar you can find in Nature's Farm. The front of its pack says "Contains No Artificial Flavours or Colours" but guess what - it has Sucralose (artificial sugar)!
HFCS is made with hydrolyzed cornstarch.
A chemical in the cornstarch converts some of the sugar in glucose form to fructose. (Natural
phyto-chemicals from natural whole foods aren't the same as man-made chemicals.)
And what is artificial sugar (Splenda/Sucralose) doing in your energy or meal replacement bar? (UK Sweetener Company admits
Sucralose (Splenda) is synthetic.)
Solae LLC is printed on the pack of Protein Delite, "
Supro is a registered trademark of Solae LLC". Solae specialises in modifying soya beans (amongst other ingredients/seeds). [
a screenshot of Solae's site] Is the
lecithin in this energy bar from
genetically-modified soy?
Natural unfermented soya beans are unhealthily toxic, what more with modified ones? [

Kaayla Daniel, PhD, author of "The Whole Soy Story: The Dark Side of America's Favorite Health Food" ]
This energy bar is highly likely to contain genetically-modified lecithin (from soya beans), artificial sugars Splenda/sucralose, Aspartame (from its Isomalt) and High-Fructose Corn Syrup (HFCS) in its caramel. [Most "isomalt" already contains aspartame especially if it's made available to manufacturers in powder form.]
I have just looked at ONE energy bar....there are many more you should actually STUDY before buying one! No matter how many pills or energy bars you take, they are dietary supplements that do not make up your staple diet. You will still need to #1. exercise regularly, #2. consume fresh untainted fruits and vegetables and #3 some daily sunlight (for body's natural production of Vitamin D) - they are your body's natural disease-fighters and natural immunity-boosters. While pills and synthetic/artificial ingredients fail you, these three will not.
SPLENDA has manufacturing plants in Singapore since 2004! Mr Teo Ming Kian Chairman ofSingapore Economic Development Board said,"“We are proud that Tate & Lyle, a global leader in renewable ingredients, has chosen Singapore to spearhead its growth in Asia and to be a vital part of the global success of SPLENDA® Sucralose, especially as this is the company's first manufacturing investment in Singapore." I would like to ask Mr. Teo if he has checked whether Tate & Lyle is able to operate in USA because they were "found out" (Splenda)? By the way, Singaporeans who want to inform the EDB of the dangers of Splenda/sucralose can write to Singapore Economic Development Board: Patricia Ng, Head Marketing and Communications, patricia_ng@edb.gov.sg or call her on telephone number +65 6832 6004 |
With
the establishment of Splenda's plant in Singapore, I believe many more milk powders and baking products have its insidious ingredients in them and go undetected. Splenda/sucralose is found in many "diabetic" sugar supplements; many food and beverage manufacturers worldwide uses it in combination with other varieties of artificial sugar, in attempts to mask any aftertaste or to make sugar taste more 'natural'. Most would not wonder why artificial sugar tastes very sweet or artificial.
The story does not end here....
Solae LLC seems to work closely with companies, like
a large muti-national company that specialises in diet soda drinks and
another whose flagship product is the monosodium glutamate (MSG).
Chemically-Extracted Reb-A is ALTERED Stevia
Some recent newer beverage products in the market are said to contain
chemically-extracted *Stevia Leaves compounds, known as
Reb-A. *Stevia Leaves has been used for more than 1,8000 years by South Americans (Peru, Brazil, etc) as safe natural sugar, without any adverse side-effects whatsoever (they're dried before grinding to powder).
However,
chemically-extracted Stevia becomes questionable Reb-A, which the FDA approved as a food additive. Reb-A - its chemical name is
"Steviol Glycoside rebaudioside A" and its trade name is
"Rebiana" marketed as a zero-calorie sweetener. [
More Info on companies producing/using Reb-A ]
"Clearly, if
Rebaudioside A was converted to steviol in vivo, significant toxicity may be expected. Recent results suggest the likelihood that rebaudioside A would be largely converted to steviol in vivo, and further that the steviol thus produced would subsequently be completely absorbed through the gastrointestinal tract wall." - http://www.freepatentsonline.com/4353889.html (Please inform if this page is removed.)
May be someone could tell me if BUTANE (1,4-Butane sultone, a
lead) and other chemicals have been used in the production of Reb-A? (Please leave a comment!)
Products with Reb-A's "all natural" sweeteners are currently touted in
Lifetime Fitness across America, via Facebook and Twitter. The sweetener is in beverage products such as
Truvia (made by
Cargill Inc,in partnership with the
Coca-Cola Company and
Monell Chemical Senses Center) and
Purevia (
Monsanto's subsidiary,
Pharmacia Corp).
Hidden Aspartame in Our FoodsMonosodium-glutamate (MSG) contains yet another artificial sugar,
aspartame. This is why MSG gives side-effects when consumed by MSG-sensitive people. In case you are not aware, MSG is a neuro-toxin (brain toxic) and have shown to damage part of lab animals' brains that are controlling endocrine function; such damage leads to pathological obesity and other obesity-related diseases such as heart failures, diabetes, etc. [
More info ]
The Singapore government has in the past, encouraged hawker centres and restaurants not to use MSG in their cooking. The local government is also wise to encourage Singaporeans to patronise hawkers pushing NON-MSG food.
Compared to 5 to 10 years ago, fewer people are now using MSG to flavour foods. MSG (and aspartame) continues to remain well-hidden in minute amounts in many processed and "refined foods" that do not require processed foods to label them. Aspartame, for example, is found in isomalt, yeast, etc. This is partially because in many countries where foods are processed, regulatory bodies like the FDA do not require such food-labelling.
To this day, the largest maker of MSG maintains that MSG is not responsible for any health problems, nor any of the
72 symptoms that aspartame is capable of causing, and that it is totally safe.
Foods Sprayed with Commercial PoisonThe world's crops sprayed with commercial insecticides and herbicides are also a cause for concern for many. The less 'toxic' bacterial sprayed/dispersed by plane to kill gypsy moths in the Pacific Northwest (USA) resulted in about 500 people reporting allergies and flu-like symptoms. Some had to go to the emergency room.
Approximately a third of the world's natural crops are facing extinction due to the use of chemical fertilisers and herbicides/insecticides. As if this isn't bad enough, some of the world's biggest agricultural companies have intentions to
genetically-modify (GM) our foods and seeds.
The herbicide, Atrazine (used to control weeds) has been banned throughout Europe and this will ensure sufficient weed insects that are food sources for some birds. Animals are the most effective detectors for disasters like Tsunami.
How to create your own safe pesticides, herbicides and insectides without genetically-modifying plants, and without polluting the air with toxins. But more need to be done not only for sustainability of plants, trees, animals - but also for the survival of man.
Many of you reading this think "What a scaremonger - our processed foods are safe!" We will do well to be reminded that manufacturers had in the past
added Melamine in order to falsely accentuate the protein values of milk and milk products. Melamine has ZERO proteins!
Why the need for false accentuations? Because pasteurisation of milk not only kills all bacterias, the process kills off most proteins and nutrients. That is why the milk and cheese of today are less nutritious than we wish them to be. [ AND this is also one reason why smaller family-owned farms with free-ranging cows in some states of the USA started offering pay-per-milk FRESH MILK (more nutritious). The other reason being the fear of drinking any pasteurised milk made from GMed milk (linked to Mad Cows' Disease). Related info:
Drugs in Milk ]
The purpose of this blog is not to put companies in bad light, but is published so that history does not get re-written in untruthful ways. As of this time of writing, I have notified the Health Science Authorities, the manufacturer and authorised supplier of Protein Delite.
Anything that is harmful when inhaled or applied to skin even in minute amounts, cannot be considered
organic. Anything synthetic or artificially made like
aspartame in MSG is GMO (genetically modified organisms).
Your vitamin C may be derived from GMed corn, your vitamin E from GMed soya beans! There are now dogs with lions' mane (3 to date, in captibity). That science-fiction horror movie THE FLY may just one day come true!
Re-check reality by knowing what genetic engineering technology is capable of doing to your pets and your food:
