More than a Billion People Hungry in the world

The above is a news article from The Epoch Times (World Section) for the week ending June 29th 2009.

It's factually written by Lisa Schlein which starts off like this,"According to the FAO (Food Agriculture Organization), one-sixth of all people on Earth are going hungry.  It said almost all of the billion people who are not getting enough to eat, live in developing countries.

The Director of FAO's Agricultural Development Economics Division , Kostas Stamoulis, said it is the first time in human history taht there are so many hungry people in the world.....  The FAO warned the hunger crisis poses a serious risk for world peace and serenity."

Lisa isn't lying, neither is FAO.  But something isn't right - can you tell what and why?


These hungry people want food for their children; they want jobs to support their families.  
They long for a roof over their heads, to be sheltered from scorching heat and windy rain storms.  
They are the least likely people to revolt and cause a war because they are already weak and sick.  
Being so malnourished, many of them barely have the energy to sip water!


Since genetically-modified foods to "feed" more people has been around for more than a decade, then why, dear readers, are people in the third-world countries still left starving, hungry and dying??
Have you spotted the lies of some agricultural companies and their supporting authorities who have been sleeping with them, just because authorities have something $$$ to gain from  the effing rich?
Make no mistake of the seemingly 'high-class technology' of genetic engineering that really is in its infancy because it's not achieved anything spectacular (other than the chihuahuas with lions' mane and other odd-looking animals)!  This is not about Bill Gates with all his high-tech computers or Wi-Fii mobile gadgets! (Someone should actually talk some sense into him - his idea of GMed foods/vaccines to save the world is unrealistic.)

Being a genetic engineer is quite similiar to hotel/restauarant chefs putting ingredients, spices and what-nots into foods to attain a certain flavouring, etc, but the real difference is that genetic engineers are much more capable of producing highly toxic foods and soils.

If genetically-modified foods can harm animals, GMed foods can harm humans.  If genetic engineering can cause a seed to stop producing, the ecological food chain will be affected to the point where everything and everyone on Earth will die and be extinct.  If genetic engineering is able to get into your medicines, drugs, organ transplants and vaccines, whole foods, processed foods, what else will there be left to eat?

Does dying need to be painful and agonising?

Consider these:
1.  Genetic engineering will allow despicable manufacturers to pass off beef faeces as beef patty because they look the same (colour), and modification of foods allows masking any bitter or unpleasant smell or taste, or both!
2.  Genetic engineering will allow animals to loose their natural camouflage (glow-in-dark puppies, monkeys, fish etc) and protection against their natural predators.  If this can happen to animals, there's no saying if food's safety is compromised.
3.  Genetic engineering with the use of chemical pesticides depletes the soil of its mineral elements, making crops less nutritious.
3.  Genetic engineering does not make farmers' lives easier.  Instead it forces them to use more pesticides and spend more money unnecessarily.  More than 40,000 farmers committed suicide in India alone.  Many others across the USA, Europe, France and Australia fear for their future as they don't have the money to pay patent fees for genetically-modified seeds.
4.  Studies by respectable scientists on GMO (genetically-modified foods) have proved that GMOs are dangerous to plants, trees and animals.  There's no proof whatsover that GMed foods are safe, nor nutritionally-balanced.
5.  There NEVER was any human trials so for the past decade to present, humans are "free laboratory rats" for agricultural companies like Monsanto.
6.  Despite fact #5, WHO, EFSA and FAO are endorsing GMed foods.

Indeed GMed food is not new!!!   Even the Singapore's AVA admits they have been around for at least a decade!

Take for example the artificial sugar, aspartame, which was made from the E. Coli bacteria!  That is perhaps the worst shock for a lot of people because GMed food is NOT labelled as so, and some of them get promoted as health foods!  

You may be earning a lot more than what you made 10 years ago, but you're not getting anything healthier.  
You avoid eating MSG but you are nowhere near healthier.  How ironic!
You may be effing rich but you are nowhere near healthier either.
You may be exercising regularly but you are nowhere near healthier.  How ironic!
You trust and do as what your health authorities recommend but you are nowhere healthier.
You pay for food that cause cancer.  How ironic!
You are a good citizen but you are continually bombasted with new genetically-modified diseases.
You pay money to eat foods that will eventually kill the world.  
What an ironic world!
(Yes, you may turn the above into a rap song if you wish!  lol )

If genetic engineers could do food like they do the "pollypill", they will try to lump everything from ginseng to salmons into ONE STAPLE food, and only big agribio companies like Monsanto can monopolise sale of that food just like how Coca-cola monopolise the soda drinks market with its aspartame-laced Diet Coke, and questionable ZERO (banned in Venezuela).

For FAO, this piece of news is an excuse for them to "approve" genetically-modified foods for world distribution; for Monsanto, it's an excuse for them to continually modify Earth's seeds genetically.  Both of them are shamelessly using HELPLESS HUNGRY PEOPLE in developing countries as an excuse for their own selfish gains!

Reported on April 28th 2000, Scott Kilman of the Wallstreet Journal, reported that fast-food chains such as McDonald's Corp. quietly told their french-fry suppliers to stop genetically-modified potatoes from Monsanto.

A recent study suggests there is no measurable benefit to eating so-called organic foods. People are living longer these days. More disease is being recognized because of science's advances. More cancers are being diagnosed because the medical profession is advancing in its ability to recognize them. The modified products are designed to be resistant to plant disease, fungus and pests. About the only real advantage to home grown foods is when and if those plants were grown with the natural amount of water giving the plant time to distribute the minerals and other elements from the soil into their fruit. Growth hormones do worry me when it comes to meats because those hormones may be transferred to the consumers, but I don't know enough about this topic to comment knowledgeably.

I have read of the genetically modified foods and seen pictures of the glow-in-the-dark animals. Everything and everyone is a guinea pig, but most do not know that. Yes, it would be money (and aren't too many things about money, power, and fame?) better spent feeding the billions that are hungry REAL food. God knows, we have the surpluses in developed countries.
