Singapore's FIRST H1N1 Victim isn't much of a BIG DEAL - here's the REAL DEAL! So...the "patient" is quarantined. I would like to ask why is the media so afraid of "offending our rich rich merchants in Orchard Road or elsewhere" and for causing "fall in fantastic tourism statistics"? AFRAID enough to point the finger at our Singapore's first H1N1 victim! Don't you think we are as much of victims as she is? (Read why below!!)
Let's be more open-minded about the whole issue. Don't you think those pig farmers too suffer a loss? Don't you think that shops in Mexico forced to shut down are also suffering a loss? Don't you think that learning is very unnecessarily interrupted when schools close because of Swine Flu?
For those who are finger-pointing our first Singapore's H1N1 victim, you are missing the BIG GORILLA sitting in the room.

 Frankly speaking, if India gets affected by this new deadly virus the condition may be much worse because highly developed countries like USA are finding it difficult to control its spread that easily. And here government action is very important as people coming from Mexico and America may spread the infection to India so perfect health checkup should be done at the airports in order to control its spread. Even WHO is taking several measures to identify the easy methods which can control this deadly problem.
Some people in India out of fun to create some serious situations and some time with political motive they spread some rumors which will make others worried and feel unsecured. So please be aware of those rumors and act accordingly.
If you find that some virus affected persons are near by your locality it is your responsibility to inform the health centers for the sake of society.
If this kind of problem attacks India the economy of India will get affected and it will be so difficult for the government to maintain the losses.

This new killer swine flu virus is a never-before-seen virus in human beings that can cause a serious situation with "pandemic potential." Basically Swine flu is a respiratory disease that infects pigs due to type A influenza virus that don't have the potential to spread from pigs to human beings in normal conditions. But to the worse side of it, WHO has announced the strain has reached Phase-4 which means the virus can transmit not only from pigs to people but also from person to person.The main reason which can make virus spread easily between humans is the little natural immunity against this new virus.
As the roots of this virus are found in Swine population, people who work with swine and poultry, especially people with intense exposures, are at risk of infection from these animals if the animals carry a strain that can infect humans.
SYMPTOMS:
Most of the symptoms are similar to that of a regular seasonal flu that includes fever, cough, sore throat, body aches, headache, chills and fatigue. Some people have also reported diarrhea and vomiting associated with swine flu.

The gaffe machine is in full effect; again. I love this guy he has done more for the Conservative cause than could have ever been hoped for. Every time Joe Biden opens his mouth a gaffe falls out. Bad for him and a Godsend for his opposition.
The latest in Biden’s series of oral flatulence came during an interview on NBC’s Today show. Have a look for yourself: Joe Biden said Thursday he advised his family to stay off airplanes and subways because of the new swine flu, a remark that forced the vice president's office to backtrack and prompted one airline official to complain about "fear-mongering."
