Dr. Aaron Lerner - IMRA
When I read thes item below I could only conclude that attorney Yael Stein of B'Tselem
doesn't follow the news in Israel:
"These incidents constitute a most severe breach of minors' human rights,"
attorney Yael Stein of B'Tselem wrote to Jerusalem District Commander Aharon
Franco.
"A military-like crackdown in the middle of the night to interrogate 12- to
14-year-old children on suspicions of throwing stones runs contrary to all
reason, and cannot be justified. It's hard to imagine the security forces
taking such measures against Jewish minors," she wrote, accusing police of
breaking the law governing treatment of youth.

Trick Or Treat - how far can this go before it kills usFriday, October 30, 2009
This is A Hot Mess that could actually be a reality if we're not careful. game designers are becoming the social architects of our new generations thoughts; and are pressing the boundaries of acceptance of violence and mayhem. this is supposed to be a snarky look at the problems we are creating for our future. unfortunately it seems to mirror a real game that will be released in a couple days.
Pay attention and you'll recognize Bobbie Battista formerly of CNN.
wellllll you gotta get ya bread where you can these days in media;
and she looks great. good to see you working Bobbi.
when will we stop feeding the monster that wants to eat us ?

Pluralism to the toilet - Palestinian Centre for Human Rights condemns allowing Jews to visit temple Mount - approves stoning Jews
Dr. Aaron Lerner www.imra.org
If anyone thought that it was possible to work out some kind of arrangement that relied on the Arabs to act in a pluralistic manner in anything relating to the Temple Mount then take a look at what the leading secular Palestinian human rights NGO has to say about an incident in which some non-Moslems being escorted on a visit to the Temple Mount were pelted with rocks by Moslems.

Pew Global Attitudes Project Declining Support for bin Laden and Suicide Bombingby Juliana Menasce Horowitz, Research Associate, Pew Global Attitudes Project
September 10, 2009 Eight years after the September 11 terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon, the Pew Global Attitudes Project finds that support for Osama bin Laden has declined considerably among Muslim publics in recent years.
The first graphic in the article depicts rejection of suicide bombing and violence against civilians. The % declaring it never justified ranges from 87 in Pakistan to 17 in Falestine. The mid range is 56/55 in Jordan/Israel. Confidence in Usama bin Laden is reported to have declined from 34% in 2008 to 18% in 2009. The question was: " How much confidence do you have in Osama bin Laden to do the right thing regarding world affairs- a lot of confidence, some confidence, not too much confidence or no confidence at all" The question was asked about a group of leaders. Unfortunately, only the bin Laden results are reported. Support for suicide bombing is graphed on another page. The bar chart is two dimensional, you must click years other than '09 to see their statistics. Concerns about domestic extremism are charted on another page |

It seems that the American public has finally found its voice. The Liberal leadership is finding it increasingly difficult to ignore the mounting sentiment of dissatisfaction among voters. Contrary to the main stream media portrayal these are not “republican lobbyists” or the “Brooks Brother Brigade” they are simply citizens who have become frustrated with public officials who seem to be intentionally disregarding the will of the people in favor of a far left agenda.
The following article characterizes these meetings as violent protests painting the opposition movement as thugs and agitators; nothing could be further from the truth. When Democratic operatives mounted similar opposition to President Bush’s policies they were hailed as defenders of freedom and outraged citizens exercising their first amendment rights. No such courtesy has been given opponents of Obama’s radical agenda.
The following article appeared on MSNBC (excerpts from article appear in bold with commentary from yours truly interspersed):

Democratic lawmakers are getting a dose of their own medicine and apparently they don’t much like it.
Democrats have all but declared health care a done deal claming that its what the American people want. The strong and predominantly negative reactions the have been getting at “Town Hall” meetings would seem to contradict that.
Undaunted by the “unruly agitators” Democrats seem content to label them as “plants” or “republican operatives” dismissing what has become a true grass roots movement as “show”.
Being elected officials you would think (incorrectly) that they would be concerned with the will of the voters who elected them. They have show disdain and outright animosity towards those constituents who think this health scare plan is the wrong choice for America. They do so at their own peril.
